The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property has approved a maximum of 40,600 euros for the Municipality of Lobor for a project to maintain an unclassified road in its area. These financial resources were allocated under the Programme for Promoting the Development of the Municipal Economy and Harmonising Municipal Standards for 2026. Co-financing was approved after a total of 378 applications from local self-government units were received in response to the Ministry's public call.
Following administrative verification and a detailed evaluation process, the Ministry approved co-financing for projects totalling 13,201,100 euros. This decision is part of a broader state effort to improve municipal infrastructure in smaller settlements, with the Municipality of Lobor gaining the opportunity to implement planned works on local roads.
Parallel to this, the Municipality of Rasinja has been approved for 44,000 euros in non-repayable funds from the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds. The funds are intended for a project titled "Reconstruction of an unclassified road in the settlement of Veliki Grabičani – Phase 1", which is being implemented as part of the Sustainable Development of the Local Community Programme.
The planned reconstruction covers 400 metres of an unclassified road with a width of 4.5 metres. The road extends from the main traffic route to the settlement of Veliki Grabičani, thereby improving the connectivity of that part of the municipality with the rest of the transport network. The works will include route excavation, earthworks, and preparation of the base for asphalt paving.
The final phase of the project in Rasinja involves asphalt works, which will ensure a permanent solution for transport infrastructure in that part of the settlement. Both projects, in Lobor and Rasinja, represent a concrete step towards improving the living standards of residents in these municipalities through the modernisation of the local road network.
