The Vrsar Municipal Council adopted the first changes and additions to the budget for this year at its 10th sitting, raising the total framework from €9,271,760 to €9,738,025, an increase of €466,265.

The rebalancing, presented to councillors by Head of the Finance Department Ines Šepić, anticipates slightly lower revenues: these have been reduced from €6,635,860 to €6,448,340, while expenditures rise to €9,726,295. The difference is covered by a surplus carried forward from previous years, which amounts to €3,289,685 after adjustment.

The largest share of additional funds, €128,765, is directed towards maintaining communal infrastructure, a programme now totalling nearly €2.18 million. Funds are earmarked for repairing a wall near the school, removing silos, traffic regulation equipment, and maintaining public spaces. An additional €126,000 has been secured for the construction of communal facilities and devices, bringing this part of the programme to €874,325.

Alongside the rebalancing, councillors also amended programmes for the construction and maintenance of communal infrastructure and adopted a new decision on traffic management, a plan for managing municipal real estate, and decisions on writing off receivables, cemeteries, and the removal of public good status.

During the section of the sitting reserved for councillor questions, Serđo Popović highlighted the long-standing lack of parking spaces near the Gradina cemetery. In response, Tina Slamar, the municipal administrator, stated that parking lot improvements are planned. Popović also requested that the Istria County be consulted to determine whether concessionaires must remove sunbeds from the beach below Belvedere after working hours, warning that they remain by the coast around the clock.

Councillor Ivan Gerometta received a written response regarding the purchase of two official vehicles for the municipal communal enterprise Montraker, valued at €53,748 excluding VAT. The decision to buy, according to the statement, was made by the company's Supervisory Board.
