The Municipality of Konjščina has issued a public call for the allocation of non-repayable funds to young people who are building, purchasing or renovating homes within its jurisdiction. A total of €30,000 has been secured for the measure in 2026.
The call, issued by Head Anita Curiš Krok, covers four measures: co-financing the construction of a family home, the purchase of a house or flat, the reconstruction of existing property, and the purchase or extension of a house for young families engaged in agriculture living in rural parts of the municipality.
Citizens up to the age of 45 who do not own another property suitable for living, or for whom the purchased or built property is their first home in Croatia, are eligible for support. Property owners in the municipality who are resolving their housing issue through reconstruction can also apply, as can families purchasing or building a larger home due to marriage or family expansion, provided they do not own a smaller property at the time of application.
The funds are one-off per beneficiary and household, cannot be combined with other measures, and each applicant may request support for only one of the four measures.
– We hope these funds will provide additional encouragement to our young people in resolving their housing issues, therefore I invite young families to apply – Curiš Krok said, adding that the municipality would continue to invest in the quality of life in rural areas to retain young families and attract new residents.
