The start of construction for a new multi-family residential building under the Socially Supported Housing Programme (POS) was ceremonially marked in Buje, where 20 flats will be sold at subsidised prices. The investment is worth around 2.7 million euros including VAT, with completion expected within a year.
The foundation stone was laid by the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, Branko Bačić. He emphasised that housing is one of the fundamental needs of life and announced that after the completion of current POS projects, the state would focus on developing models for affordable housing.
The works are being carried out by the company Vladimir Gortan, and the selling price of the flats will be 2,104 euros per square metre.
Buje Mayor Fabrizio Vižintin assessed the project as important for the town and its citizens. "This project represents a significant step forward in securing better living conditions for our fellow citizens. I believe it will enable many young families to solve their housing issues precisely in Buje and build their future here," Vižintin said.
The director of the Agency for Legal Transactions and Real Estate Mediation, Dragan Hristov, also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony.
