Brod-Posavina County will allocate nearly 450 thousand euros in support to family farms for the purchase of machinery and equipment for primary agricultural production in 2026.
The County Prefect Danijel Marušić issued the decision on the allocation of low-value support on 16 July, in line with the proposal of the Committee for the Implementation of the Low-Value Support Programme in Agriculture. The support is awarded on the basis of a public call previously conducted by the county.
The right to support under measure 1.8 was secured by 328 family farms from across the county. A total of 449.997,15 euros was distributed, averaging around 1.370 euros per farm.
The funds are coming to a county that, according to new data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics on migration in 2025, is among the four Croatian counties with a negative migration balance. Last year, Brod-Posavina, along with Vukovar-Syrmia, saw the highest number of residents emigrating to other parts of Croatia.
