The Zagreb County Health Centre branch in Ivanić-Grad has completed an extensive energy renovation valued at 1,822,846 euros. The renovated building has moved from energy class E to class B, with expected annual savings on heating energy exceeding 80 per cent.
1,307,645 euros in grant funding for the project was secured from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, while Zagreb County allocated 515,200 euros from its own budget.
The works included a new thermal envelope for the building, replacement of the heating, cooling, ventilation and hot water preparation systems, and the installation of more efficient lighting. A photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 20 kilowatts was also installed on the building.
The renovated branch was visited by Zagreb County Deputy County Prefect Ervin Kolarec and Ivanić-Grad Deputy Mayor Tomislav Cuvaj. Kolarec highlighted that this is the fourth fully renovated branch of the county Health Centre, following those in Jastrebarsko, Vrbovsko and Zaprešić. He added that the renovation of the Health Centre in Samobor is nearing completion, and a contract was recently signed for the branch in Velika Gorica.
Director of the Zagreb County Health Centre Večeslav Bergman reminded attendees that the institution currently operates across 58 locations and expressed hope that after the major branches, investment would also be directed towards smaller clinics throughout the county. According to him, the renovation brings greater comfort to patients and better working conditions for healthcare staff.
The project also improved accessibility for people with disabilities and reduced mobility, and a parking and bicycle storage system was installed in front of the entrance. The renovated branch is used by residents of Ivanić-Grad, Kloštar Ivanić and Križ.
