Two people died in a road traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday around 19:00 on state road DC-54 in the Obrovac area, the Zadar County Police reported.
According to initial police information, two passenger cars collided at a junction near the former alumina plant. Two participants died from their injuries, while two others were transported by emergency medical services to the General Hospital Zadar.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, and police officers conducted an investigation led by the deputy county state attorney.
Due to the investigation, the section of state road DC-54 was closed to all traffic, with vehicles diverted via alternative routes through Obrovac.
