Two people died and 129 were injured in road traffic accidents on Croatian roads over the weekend, the police reported. From Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July, a total of 107 accidents involving casualties were recorded, averaging more than 35 per day.

Among these were 27 severe accidents. Two people died in two separate incidents. In the remaining 25 severe accidents, 26 people sustained serious injuries and two sustained minor injuries. The remaining 80 accidents accounted for 101 injured people.

The police note that the published figures may differ from the official monthly statistics of the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) and the bulletins on road traffic safety. They clarify that the monthly data from previous years did not include persons who died subsequently as a result of accidents.
