The town of Cres presented at the final conference of the European Value Plus project in Ravenna the multimedia guide Renaissance Cres, which takes users through 11 key points of the town's Renaissance history and heritage. The role of host and narrator in the guide is played by Cres philosopher Frane Petrić.
The conference was held on 18 June in the Sale Martini hall of the MAR (Museo d'Arte della Città di Ravenna) cultural complex, bringing together all partners of the project co-financed under the Interreg Italy–Croatia cross-border cooperation programme.
The Cres delegation brought several VR headsets to Ravenna, allowing partners to virtually walk through Renaissance Cres. According to a post by the Town of Cres, the presentation caused great enthusiasm among participants.
Value Plus has been focused for three years on preserving and promoting cultural and natural heritage through sustainable tourism models and on networking cultural destinations in Croatia and Italy. Partners CRES and IDECO participated in the session dedicated to cross-border itineraries and the joint platform, while pilot actions were presented by all partners.
Lead partner, the Municipality of Ravenna, summarised the project in a review titled "Value Plus — three years in 20 minutes", with an overview of four work packages and key figures. The event concluded with a meeting of the Steering Board, where administrative steps towards the official closure of the project were agreed.
