The TEUTA Contemporary Dance Studio from Čakovec performed at the jubilee, 15th edition of the Šibenik Dance Festival, one of the most significant international contemporary dance events in Croatia. The studio's dancers, which brings together more than 70 children and young people, performed five original choreographies by director Nikolina Mekovec.
The programme featured the choreographies "Geneza", "Moja sjena", "Kada se razlije crveno", "Izgubljeni u ritmu" and "Ranjeni jelen".
"It is a great honour for us to be part of the Šibenik Dance Festival. Every performance, every show and every workshop leaves an indelible mark on our work," Mekovec stated.
The studio has been operating for more than 30 years and has participated in the Šibenik festival since 2012. During that period, it has represented the Croatian dance scene at guest performances in eight European countries. The performance at this year's festival was financially supported by funds from the public interest programme in culture of the City of Čakovec.
