The Town of Kastav will once again pay for workbooks for all primary school pupils resident within its boundaries, regardless of which school they attend. Depending on the year group, parents will receive between €60 and €120 per pupil.
The decision was made by a decree of the mayor, in agreement with the Osnovna škola "Milan Brozović" Kastav (Milan Brozović Primary School Kastav). The highest amount, €120, will be paid to first-year pupils. Pupils in years two to four are allocated €60, year five €90, year six €80, and years seven and eight €110 each.
The money is transferred to parents' current accounts after they complete a digital form on the kastav.otvorenigrad.hr platform. Two forms have been prepared: one for parents of pupils at Osnovna škola "Milan Brozović" (Milan Brozović Primary School), and another for pupils attending primary schools outside Kastav.
Applications are accepted from 2 July to 30 September 2026. The town requests that, if possible, the same parent who completed the form last year should fill it in again for children in years two to eight. Exceptionally, a certified form may also be submitted in person at the registry office at Trg sv. Lucije 1 or sent by email to the town administration.
