Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra, will be unveiled in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models, according to supply chain sources cited by GSMArena and reported by Index.hr.
According to these reports, the device’s design has been finalised and the phone has entered mass production. Sources state they have never heard of delays and that the foldable model will go on sale simultaneously with the Pro models, in late September.
Rumours of a potential delay in the launch or sales start emerged after Apple halted production of the AirPods Ultra headphones, but these have since been debunked by several independent supply chain sources.
The issue of initial stock levels remains open. It is expected that the number of foldable devices available on the first day of sales will be significantly lower than that of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, meaning that initial quantities, if very limited, could sell out in a very short time.
